Smooth 9.45TV Treadmill Review

The Smooth 9.45TV treadmill is the most expensive treadmill made by Smooth Fitness and is one of two machines in the 9 series treadmills. The other one is the Smooth 9.45ST. The only difference between the two is the “TV” model has a TV and the “ST” model doesn’t. You’ll pay about $200 more for the TV model.

The flat screen LCD TV on the Smooth 9.45TV is bigger than most TV’s you’ll find on treadmills measuring an impressive 15?. Most treadmills TV’s are about half that size. The other nice thing about this TV is that it’s mounted on a separate frame. It’s not attached directly to the treadmill console. When you run on this treadmill the TV won’t wobble or shake uncontrollably.

The Smooth 9.45TV also has some other unique features not found in other treadmills. For starters, it has an adjustable shock absorption system. Whether you want a firm running surface to mimic an outdoor run or soft cushioning to prevent joint pain, the shock system on the Smooth 9.45TV can be easily adjusted to suit your needs.

You can also adjust the speed during your exercise by simply waving your hand over the hands-free speed control system. The idea behind this “touch free speed control” is that you don’t have to make any awkward movements when you’re exercising. A quick wave of the hand is all it takes to increase or decrease the speed.

In addition to these features, the Smooth 9.45TV treadmill is very stable given it’s hefty weight of 315 lbs. Given the shear weight of this treadmill and the generous 60? deck, it is an ideal machine for runners but walkers and joggers will enjoy it as well. Throw in the lifetime warranty and you have a great home treadmill for anyone.

Actual Expert and Customer Feedback:

A solid running machine.-Fred Waters, Industry Expert

We have a large family and got the 945st to replace the family gym membership. I was a little worried because our boys are big and so is my husband. This machine is everything Smooth claims it is and more. Thanks for a great stable reliable machine.-Smooth Fitness Customer

I got the 945 TV because I like to watch ESPN when I'm working out. The picture on this TV is great and the fact that its mounted separately is very smart. The TV doesn't move when your running because of the mounting system. Very Cool.-Smooth Fitness Customer

I have never owned a treadmill with a TV, I thought it was a waste of money. My wife purchased this for me as a birthday gift in hopes I would use it more, and I have. The TV makes the workouts go by faster and the adjustable cushioning lets me get the tension in the deck right where I want it. I could not be more pleased, and I am happy to say I am feeling a lot better as well. -Smooth Fitness Customer

I recently purchased a 945 ST and was a little leary about making such a big purchase without trying. Boy am I glad I did. This machine is very quiet which is very important to us with neighbors down below and It is amazing.-Smooth Fitness Customer

The Smooth 9.45TV is Smooth Fitness' top-of-the-line treadmill. It is also their most expensive treadmill priced at around $2,700. When you get to this price point, you're getting commercial quality for the home. That would explain why so many of the customer reviews comment on how the Smooth 9.45TV feels just like the "treadmill they use at the gym." It is also why most people who buy this treadmill either don't buy a gym membership or cancel the one they have.

Other customers commented that this treadmill is very stable, quiet, and operates smoothly. Again, you wouldn't expect anything less for a treadmill at this price point.

If you are a heavy individual or do a lot of running, then the Smooth 9.45TV should definitely be on your short list as this machine is built for you! And if you don't need the TV and want to save a few dollars, consider the Smooth 9.45ST instead. You'll get the same great treadmill for about $200 less without the TV.
